I thought id ask a seperate question about the best box size for 2 xRE8 subs to give a good mix of sq and spl in equal amounts .
Im waiting for a reply from another member ,but am too impatient for my own good .
I wish i knew what i was doing with winisd ,maybe i wouldnt be in this position .
So please guys help me out here !!!!!.

It really depends on how much power you give them... that sub is REALLY limited by its mechanical parts. Thing bottoms out really easy if you aren't careful. Sub would be SOOO much easier to design boxes for if there was twice the magnet height thus making it harder to bottom out. I remember hooking a friend up with 2 of those and doing SPL burps on them at a local comp once. He was stupid, didn't play the sine wave I told him to and bottomed 1 of them out REALLY bad. That was about 5hz above tuning with 300rms each. Had he just played right at tuning, we would've been able to burp a 2nd time with 600rms each.
Subs take lots of power thermally.... its just that the suspension is either too lose, or there needs to be more clearance fore the voice coil to move.
IIRC it likes boxes around .5 - .75 cuft tuned to 30-35hz.
Can never go wrong with sealed boxes either. .3 - .5cuft sealed.

a single 4" flared aero port will be fine.... or if you do a slot port... aim for at least 12-16sq in of port.
